Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to be the point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan‑o‑grams, stock merchandise, and help maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork while protecting company assets. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, operate a cash register, assist with locating merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of basic cash handling, safety policies, and plan‑o‑gram guidance is required;

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and unpack cartons; stock merchandise.
• Build displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Assist with receiving orders using handheld scanners.
• Clean store areas, including restroom and stockroom; maintain cleanliness.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Greet customers and support sidewalk displays when needed.
