Job summary

Dollar General is hiring at one of our Michigan stores to be the frontline contact for customers. You will help keep plan-o-grams current, stock shelves, build displays, and assist shoppers in locating merchandise. You will operate the cash register, handle payments, and help maintain store cleanliness.

This role requires strong communication, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and implement merchandise presentation.
• Basic math and cash handling knowledge.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; maintain plan-o-grams.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and bag items.
• Keep store clean, including front end, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Follow company policies and procedures; protect assets.
