Job summary

Dollar General in New York is seeking a retail associate to assist customers, stock shelves, and operate the cash register in a fast-paced store environment.

You will unload trucks, build displays, follow plan-o-grams, and help maintain store cleanliness while delivering friendly service and protecting store assets. This role offers opportunities to learn merchandising and cash procedures in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and stock; rotate and face items on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean store front, restrooms and stockroom; follow company policies and procedures.
