Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a customer-focused store associate to provide friendly service, stock and organize merchandise, and operate the cash register. You will assist shoppers in locating items, maintain plan-o-grams, and help ensure a clean, welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and maintaining merchandise presentation while following store policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise on stock room or sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays; stock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers; operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
