Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail team member to act as the front-line contact with customers, stock merchandise, operate the register, and support merchandising programs across a store location. You will help maintain plan-o-grams, assist customers, and ensure a clean, efficient shopping environment.

The role involves unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, and providing friendly service while following store policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive/unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in the stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build and stock displays; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate the cash register; process payments and bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean store areas and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
