Dollar General seeks a store associate to serve as the point of contact for customers and to assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. The role involves stocking merchandise, building displays, and ensuring customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, receiving merchandise, operating the cash register, assisting customers, and keeping the store clean and organized. Previous retail or cash-handling experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsabilités

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end and assist with sidewalk displays.
