Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to ensure smooth daily operations at our Illinois location. You will greet customers, help locate merchandise, stock and rotate products, and process purchases at the register with accuracy and courtesy.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, building displays, restocking, and maintaining store cleanliness. Previous retail or cashier experience is beneficial, with emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Mansioni

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
