Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail team member to act as the point of contact for customers and assist in stocking, merchandising, and checkout operations.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, build displays, greet customers, and process transactions with handheld scanners and a cash register. A high school diploma is preferred and basic math skills are required to ensure accurate pricing and change.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Follow processes to receive, unpack, and store/stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate the cash register, process payments, and bag items.
• Greet customers and help setup displays as needed.
