Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the primary contact for customers, set and maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and support store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You will work to protect company assets while upholding standards and policies.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and helping with merchandise ordering and store

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end and set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
