Job summary

Dollar General is seeking store staff to serve customers, stock shelves, and maintain displays across our locations. You will greet shoppers, operate the register, and assist with stocking and ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.

Candidates should be comfortable with fast-paced retail work, be able to lift up to 40 pounds, and follow safety policies while protecting company assets. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases.
• Handle payments and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
