Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store team member to be the point of contact for customers, help set and maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You will unload trucks, build displays, rotate stock, assist customers, and operate the cash register to complete purchases.

Responsibilities include stocking merchandise, facing shelves, and helping with sidewalk displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions and handle payments.
• Basic math skills for cashiering and merchandising.
• Read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise in the stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; stock and face products on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Operate the cash register; bag merchandise and collect payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep front end clean and help with sidewalk displays when required.
