Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a team-oriented associate to support daily store operations in Duncan, OK. You will assist customers, stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and operate the register to complete transactions with accuracy.

This role requires attentive handling of plan-o-grams, basic math, and safety awareness. You’ll contribute to a fast-paced environment while protecting company assets and providing a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to itemize and total purchases, bag merchandise and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
