Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a team member to greet customers, stock shelves, operate the register, and support storefronts with planograms. You’ll help customers find merchandise, maintain displays, and ensure quick, friendly service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, restocking, rotating stock, and contributing to a clean, safe shopping environment while following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with store safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and implement plan‑o‑gram guidance.
• Understanding of basic cash handling procedures and math.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store.
• Build and stock displays; rotate and face products.
• Assist customers in locating items and answer questions.
• Operate the cash register, process payments and bag items.
• Assist with ordering using handheld scanners when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with policies.
