Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and support daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and bag items, collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Keep store clean; front end setup and sidewalk displays when necessary.
