Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate in Hartsville, SC. You will act as the point of contact for customers, stock and rotate merchandise, build displays and assist on the sales floor. You will also operate the cash register, assist with ordering, and help maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires effective communication, basic math, and adherence to safety policies. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; frequent standing and lifting up to 40 pounds are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
