Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail associate to act as the primary customer contact, stock merchandise, and maintain displays. You will greet shoppers, operate the cash register, and assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners. Qualifications

• Experience with IBM cash register functions is required.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive merchandise.
• Open and unpack cartons; store or stock on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and assist at checkout.
• Operate cash register, bag items, and handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners.
• Maintain clean front end and sidewalk displays.
