Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Associate to be the primary point of contact for customers, assist in stocking, merchandising, and checkout operations. You will unload trucks and help set up displays while ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and displays remain appealing.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the cash register, handling payments, and following company policies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Greet customers; operate cash register and flatbed scanner; itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise; collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
