Job summary

Vireo Health, Inc. is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Van Nuys, CA to manage POS, restock shelves, promote loyalty programs, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will help keep the store clean, organized, and may assist the fulfillment warehouse as needed.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be at least 21 and available across day/night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old to work in a dispensary.
• Willing to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs intermittently.

What we offer:

• Compensation: $19.62-21.87 per hour depending on experience
• 11 Days of accrued PTO in addition to 2 Wellness Days & Volunteer Hours that will increase with tenure

What the role is about:

This position is responsible for executing daily retail tasks and activities to ensure retail operations are consistent with company goals and objectives. Daily tasks include managing the POS system, restocking shelves, promoting sales and loyalty programs, and keeping the store clean and organized. You will ensure customer satisfaction by staying knowledgeable about products and working with colleagues to provide excellent service, and you may also support the fulfillment warehouse if needed.

• Become fully trained in cash handling and the POS system
• Promote sales and loyalty programs
• Keep the store clean and organized
• Support the fulfillment warehouse when needed

What you’ve accomplished:

• Sales experience in a retail store environment preferred, but not required
• Customer service experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail
• Reliable, punctual, dependable, and trustworthy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Open availability: we operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with day, night, weekend, and holiday hours as needed by the business
• At least 21 years of age to work in a dispensary per state law
• Positive attitude that creates a positive work environment
• Attention to detail, with clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment between the backroom and sales floor daily
• Ability to place and arrange products on all shelves and racks daily
• Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying products daily
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds infrequently
• Ability to be on your feet for at least 8 hours per shift and move continuously around all areas of the store daily
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time daily
• Ability to read instructions, reports, and information on computer and register screens and key information into the computer daily
• Exposure to indoor climate control measures
