Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to act as the front-line contact for customers, stock and display products, and assist with transactions on the sales floor. You will help ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, building displays, and assisting customers. Previous cashier experience and ability to follow plan-o-gram guidelines are valued.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
