Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Illinois is seeking a store teammate to greet customers, assess needs, and assist them in selecting the right gear to help them achieve their goals.

You will uphold merchandising standards, promote loyalty programs, and follow safety procedures while helping create an inclusive environment and supporting your team with an all-hands-on-deck mindset. Prior retail experience is preferred, and golf knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 hours per shift).

• Greet customers and proactively approach to understand their needs.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets and signage requirements.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranties, etc.).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and privacy policies.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

OVERVIEW

Our store teammates are passionate about creating an exceptions shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and ability to prioritize.

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.

• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.

• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior retail experience preferred.

• Golf industry experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Targeted Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
