Job summary

The Children's Place in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, maintain product knowledge, and utilize effective selling techniques to drive sales.

You will manage merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and keep the store and backroom clean and organized, while complying with safety and loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Explain value and promotions, assist with out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Sell effectively to improve conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate about PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size and style representation.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, safe, and organized; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping per company standards.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs promptly.
• Contribute toward store goals; be flexible with stock processing.
