Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking a part-time Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 6060 at 40 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville. You’ll greet customers, ring the register with accuracy, and help keep the store clean, safe, and welcoming.

Responsibilities include assisting with lottery, tobacco and alcohol sales per age verification rules, stocking, and maintaining a tidy store. The role offers weekly pay, a $14.00–$16.00/hr rate, and opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Age 18 years or older.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather.
• Reading, writing, speaking and understanding English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Physically capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly demeanor and helpful customer service.
• Reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age-verification compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers to increase sales.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and pumps.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh.
• Maintain a clean, organized store; sweep, mop, windows, and entryways.
• Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and help wherever needed.
• Take out trash to dumpster in all kinds of weather.
