Kelley’s Market in Pecatonica, IL is hiring Retail Sales Associates to assist customers and keep our store running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you’ll deliver friendly service, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

You’ll work with a supportive team, gain experience in retail operations, and be eligible for benefits and an overnight differential. The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide friendly, dependable customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and store leadership.
• Use basic math skills to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
• Obtain an alcohol sales operator license where required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate the cash register and POS system, process purchases and refunds, and handle cash accurately.
• Answer questions about products, prices, and promotions.
• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, freezers, and merchandise displays.
• Keep the sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas clean, including fuel pumps and the car wash where applicable.
• Maintain clean, stocked Kelley’s Café food and beverage areas and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns, equipment problems, and other issues to store leadership.
• Work with your team to keep daily store operations running smoothly.
