Job summary

Dollar General is seeking aStore Associate to act as the main contact for customers, stock and display merchandise, and handle sales transactions. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, greet customers, and maintain a clean store environment.

You will also assist with ordering merchandise and help set up sidewalk displays when needed. Prior experience with cash registers and basic math is valued; High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in stock room or sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; face products on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and maintain store cleanliness.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Clean front end of store and side displays; comply with store policies.
