Job summary

Dollar General is a welcoming retailer seeking a team member to serve customers, stock shelves, and help maintain plan-o-gram accuracy while protecting company assets. You will unload trucks, stock and display merchandise, greet customers, and operate the register.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, following safety policies, and supporting store operations and cleanliness to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise or move to sales floor.
• Build and stock displays; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and operate cash register, itemize totals and make changes.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with company policies.
