Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Retail Associate to act as a friendly point of contact for customers, help with plan-o-grams, stock merchandize, and maintain a clean, organized store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, and support merchandising tasks across the floor and stockroom.

The role emphasizes teamwork, profitability, and safeguarding company assets in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in retail and basic math skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays; stock and rotate on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise; ensure shelves are faced and stocked.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate the cash register to total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep the front of the store clean and help with sidewalk displays.
