Job summary

Maplefields & R. L. Vallee is hiring a Sales Associate/Cashier for Maplefields - Peru, NY 12972.

You will cash out customers, assist with self-checkout, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and well stocked. You will also monitor age-restricted sales and support store operations during busy periods. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the register, counting down cash, and ensuring coffee is fresh and hot at the coffee bar.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate cash register, accept payments, give change, and close the register.
• Assist customers through the self-checkout process.
• Ensure coffee is brewed, hot, and the coffee bar is clean.
• Stock and maintain product levels throughout the store.
• Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness; handle general upkeep.
• Complete shift tasks and adapt to additional duties from management.
• Perform routine store closing paperwork and reports.
• Monitor and enforce age-restricted sales where applicable.
• Rotate stock to keep products fresh and organized.
• Operate the lottery terminal when assigned.
• Handle various payment methods and maintain cash accuracy.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and orders as needed.
• Provide friendly service across all store areas.
