Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking Sales Associates to provide friendly, accurate service and help customers find products for their projects. Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available in a fast-paced, safety-conscious store environment.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, processing transactions at POS, maintaining stock, and supporting store goals. Prior experience in customer service is preferred; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require forklift certifications through Floor & Decor.
• Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires passing a drug test.

• Connect with customers, ask about projects, recommend our products and excite customers about their purchase.
• Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations when assisting customers.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas, keep it clean, shoppable and safe.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using the POS system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to guidelines.
• Follow established cash, check and credit card procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock and display merchandise.
• Demonstrate and understand compliance with safety processes.
• Answer telephone according to guidelines.
• Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Base Pay

This role has a minimum base pay from $15.00 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Floor & Decor's Sales Associates play a key role in continuously providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. Our Sales Associates contribute to a fast pace, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. Essential Job Functions:

W** orking Conditions (travel & environment)

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

• Ability exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
