Ashley Furniture, a leading home furnishings retailer, is hiring a Retail Sales Associate in Vernon Hills, IL. You will guide store guests, help them discover styles, and design rooms they love, thriving in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

The role emphasizes world-class service, cash handling, credit applications, and achieving sales goals. The first two weeks are paid training at $15.00–$15.40 per hour, with commissions and quarterly bonuses after training.

Qualificações

• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver world-class service and delight guests.
• Provide outstanding service at the front desk and assist guests with purchases.
• Process sales orders, handle cash, and assist with credit and financing as needed.
• Address customer concerns independently when possible.
• Assist with store opening/closing and cash reconciliation.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention; participate in bi-annual counts.
• Meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do:

• Thrives in an environment that rewards for delivering world-class service and delighting our guests.
• Provide outstanding service experience for every customer and guest. Maintain a welcoming, professional, visible presence at the front desk; engage with guests, ensuring they are always treated in a cordial, respectful manner representing the Company's brand image.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders, adhering to cash handling protocols. Aid customers with credit applications and financing matters as required while maintaining thorough documentation of sales transactions
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible
• Aid in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including participation in bi-annual inventory checks
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management

What You Bring:

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, tug, and pull 25 IBS with or without accommodation.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred
• Gets charged up by interacting with others, by being outgoing, friendly, and easy to talk to
• Conveys information in a way that inspires action
• Gets excited by developing and sharing fresh ideas
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Communicates information in a motivating manner that prompts action

Compensation: The first two weeks of training are paid at an hourly rate of $15.00 to $15.40 per hour, at the minimum wage rate in the location where you work. After completion of the initial training period, eligible employees can earn commissions and incentives on sales and quarterly bonuses based on sales performance, with no maximum earnings. Commission and other incentive amounts differ based on product types and sales volume.
