Job summary

Ashley Furniture, a global home furnishings leader with 75+ years of experience, is expanding its store network to meet growing demand. As a Retail Sales Associate, you guide guests, share inspiration, and help them design rooms they will love to live in.

You will deliver world-class service, process sales accurately, assist with credit applications and financing as needed, and support opening/closing tasks and inventory checks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class service and delight guests; engage with guests at the front desk.
• Process sales orders accurately and handle cash per store protocols; assist with financing as needed.
• Aid customers with credit applications and financing and document transactions.
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible.
• Assist with store opening/closing tasks, including cash reconciliation and daily checklists.
• Support inventory management and participate in bi-annual inventory checks.
• Meet and exceed sales goals and KPI targets.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do:

• Thrives in an environment that rewards for delivering world-class service and delighting our guests.
• Provide outstanding service experience for every customer and guest. Maintain a welcoming, professional, visible presence at the front desk; engage with guests, ensuring they are always treated in a cordial, respectful manner representing the Company's brand image.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders, adhering to cash handling protocols. Aid customers with credit applications and financing matters as required while maintaining thorough documentation of sales transactions
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible
• Aid in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including participation in bi-annual inventory checks
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management

What You Bring:

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, tug, and pull 25 IBS with or without accommodation.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred
• Gets charged up by interacting with others, by being outgoing, friendly, and easy to talk to
• Conveys information in a way that inspires action
• Gets excited by developing and sharing fresh ideas
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
