Job summary

EZPAWN Utah, Inc. is seeking Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Members for our Midvale stores. You’ll help customers with pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and more while delivering friendly, professional service and maintaining store standards.

You’ll start in a paid training program with opportunity for raises, advancement to Pawnbroker, and further growth via our certification tracks. Experience in sales and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug test as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with pawn and sale transactions.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform opening and closing store duties and maintain a positive store appearance.

Career Path & Compensation

Our Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service (Pawnbroker) position offers competitive pay based on experience with an opportunity to quickly increase your pay and position! Start your career as a Trainee in our 5-week paid training program and earn a $.50 raise and promotion to Pawnbroker upon completion of the program. Continue to grow your skills by entering our Pawnbroker Certification Program and earn an additional $1/hour. Excel and explore opportunities to promote to the Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) position. Follow the Career Path and apply for an Assistant Manager position which includes a 6-month training program to build the foundation to run your own store.

What You Can Expect

As a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service (Pawnbroker), you will interact with customers daily, helping with sales and enjoying the give and take of a mutually satisfying agreement regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and more. As part of our customer service team in our stores, you will provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment that continues to set us apart from the competition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work well independently and as member of a team
• Ability to multitask
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (performed after a conditional offer)
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics, a plus
• Sales background, a plus
• Bilingual, a plus
