Kelley's Market in Genoa, IL is hiring Retail Sales Associates to help customers and keep our convenience store running smoothly. You will provide friendly service, handle cashier tasks, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store.

Be 21+, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexible to evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation includes $15-$18/hour with a $3/hour overnight differential, plus comprehensive benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide friendly, dependable customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and store leadership.
• Use basic math skills to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
• Obtain an alcohol sales operator license where required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain food and beverage areas and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash‑handling procedures.
• Communicate concerns to store leadership and support daily operations.

What You’ll Do

Help Our Customers

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate the cash register and point‑of‑sale system, process purchases and refunds, and handle cash accurately.
• Answer questions about products, prices, and promotions.

Keep the Store Ready

• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, freezers, and merchandise displays.
• Keep the sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas clean, including fuel pumps and the car wash where applicable.
• Maintain clean, stocked Kelley's Café food and beverage areas and follow food safety procedures.

Support Your Team

• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash‑handling procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns, equipment problems, and other issues to store leadership.
• Work with your team to keep daily store operations running smoothly.

• $15-$18 per hour, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, and certifications.
