Overview

As a Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum, you’ll be the face of our company, promoting and selling our portfolio of products and services to both existing and new customers. Your role is pivotal in enhancing the customer experience and fostering a culture of exceptional customer care at every store location.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Spectrum products and services to customers in-store, enhancing the customer experience and meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Identify sales opportunities and create ideal customer experiences through product support and education.
• Build positive customer relationships, practice effective listening, overcome objections, and resell the value of our products.
• Maintain knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions and visual standards, while minimizing product losses.
• Ensure a welcoming store atmosphere, deliver a clean retail experience, communicate effectively, adhere to policies, resolve issues, and participate in training programs.

Working Conditions

This role requires a flexible schedule, regular attendance, physical demands (lifting up to 35 lbs., prolonged standing) and adherence to Spectrum's dress code in a moderately noisy retail environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms; proficiency in computer applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks and handle change effectively.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, on the phone and in writing.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Earn $20 per hour base pay, with potential to earn $25.40 per hour through commission and incentives. The base pay range is generally between $18.00 and $29.52; actual compensation considers skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Some positions may include additional incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

Additional compensation details: In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $11,232.
