Athens Rock Lobsters is seeking Retail Sales Associates to support home game operations and scheduled office or warehouse hours. You will handle merchandise sales, POS transactions, customer service, and help fans find jerseys, hats, and souvenirs.

Responsibilities

• Game Day Retail Operations: staff the main team store and kiosks; process transactions via POS.
• Customer Service: help fans find sizes, jerseys, hats, and souvenirs.
• Store Setup & Merchandising: keep displays stocked, visually appealing, clean, and organized.
• E-Commerce & Warehouse Support: assist with picking, packing, and shipping online merchandise orders during scheduled office shifts.
• Inventory Management: count, unpack, tag, and organize stock deliveries; participate in inventory audits.

As a member of our Retail Sales staff, you’ll be part of the retail team that gets Rock Lobsters gear into the hands of our fans. You’ll work in the team store and merchandise locations on game days, help fans find the perfect gear, keep displays stocked and looking great, and process purchases in a fast-paced arena environment. You’ll also have opportunities to support online orders and behind-the-scenes inventory operations. If you enjoy retail, customer service and the energy of live sports, we want to hear from you.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Retail Sales Associates support the Athens Rock Lobsters’ retail operations during home games and scheduled office or warehouse hours. This position assists with merchandise sales, point-of-sale transactions, customer service, product displays, e-commerce order fulfillment and inventory activities. Merchandise Staff are responsible for providing helpful service to fans while supporting accurate, organized and efficient retail operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Game Day Retail Operations: Staff the main team store and kiosk satellite locations on game days; process retail transactions accurately via POS systems.
• Customer Service: Assist fans in finding sizes, jersey customization choices, headwear, and souvenir items in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Store Setup & Merchandising: Keep retail displays fully stocked, visually appealing, clean, and organized before, during, and after games.
• E-Commerce & Warehouse Support: Assist with picking, packing, and shipping online merchandise orders during scheduled weekday office shifts.
• Inventory Management: Count, unpack, tag, and organize stock deliveries; participate in periodic inventory audits.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Previous retail sales or cashier experience preferred.
• Basic math and POS handling skills with strong attention to detail.
• Friendly communication skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced retail settings.
• Availability to work home game shifts as well as periodic weekday afternoon office hours.
