Job summary

Family Fare in Bismarck, ND seeks a part-time Vendor Receiving Associate to ensure accurate check-in/out of goods, verify invoices, and maintain logs. You will support store operations, assist customers, and help keep the department clean and well stocked.

The role requires basic math, reading/comprehension, and a detail-oriented mindset. Travel considerations are limited and safety guidelines must be followed at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procedures are followed when checking in or out vendors.
• Receive merchandise, verify invoices, process credits, log per procedures.
• Promptly report problems to the Store Director.
• Move stock to storage/workload areas as assigned.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Know product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain receiving records and internal audit logs.
• Keep the department clean, stocked, and attractive.
• Follow policies for security of receiving area.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning standards.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May assist other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to perform the primary responsibility of efficient and accurate checking of all vendor deliveries and to perform other functions as required in an efficient manner within the company policies, to ensure that the shift contributes to the best financial interest of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.

• Ensure that all procedures are followed when checking in or out vendors.
• Receive all merchandise, check and verify invoices, process all credits, accurately log according to company procedures.
• Communicate promptly to the Store Director any problems or situations which may affect the integrity of the store or of the vendor.
• Ensure stock/product is taken to applicable storage and/or workload areas.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Knowledge of product locations in the store, in order to be able to assist customers.
• Maintain receiving records and logs for internal audits.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Follow all policies and procedures relating to security of receiving door.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
