Job Overview
The Retail Real Estate Expansion Manager – West Coast is responsible for leading and executing our market growth strategy across key states on the West Coast. This senior leader will identify new opportunities, launch operations in new markets, develop and implement expansion plans, and manage the performance of existing locations in the region. The ideal candidate brings a track record of successful market expansion, operational leadership, and cross‑functional execution in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the West Coast expansion strategy in alignment with company‑wide growth objectives, considering factors such as market demographics, competition, and economic conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, marketing, finance, legal) to ensure smooth and compliant market entry.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
- Serve as a senior representative of the company in West Coast markets, building and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and government entities.
- Track and report on expansion metrics, market performance, and return on investment.
- Ensure that all expansion initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting progress and identifying challenges.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in expansion, operations, strategy, or business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in launching and scaling operations across multiple geographies.
- Strong understanding of West Coast market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, growth‑stage companies, preferably in retail or fashion.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the West Coast region.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Other Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree in business, strategy, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing budgets, P&L, and cross‑functional project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and other relevant software.
