Job summary

Hope Services in California is seeking a warehouse associate to join our operations team, performing daily warehouse tasks such as receiving, sorting, handling, and distributing materials and products alongside client workers and volunteers.

The role emphasizes safety, training support, and teamwork; the incumbent will oversee equipment checks, follow protocols, and report concerns while assisting with other duties to maximize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with balers preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; assistance may be provided to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Train client workers and volunteers in assigned area.
• Perform production and/or service as assigned per scope of work.
• Ensure all equipment is tested for safety and operational soundness.
• Comply with all required safety practices.
• Work cooperatively as part of the team.
• Inform supervisor of concerns related to scope, operations and/or materials.
• Assign tasks and provide daily direction to volunteers based on operational needs.
• Act as a mandated abuse reporter.
• May perform other duties to assure efficiency of operations.

*Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Summary

To work in one of the HOPE business operations alongside client workers and volunteers and perform daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, handling, and distributing materials and products.

Essential Functions

1. Provides training support to client workers and volunteers in area of assignment.
2. Performs production and/or service as assigned and described in the scope of work.
3. Assures all equipment is tested for operational soundness and current safety standards.
4. Complies with all required safety practices.
5. Works as a cooperative member of the team.
6. Informs supervisor of any and all concerns related to the scope of work, operations and/or materials.
7. Assign tasks and provide daily direction to volunteers based on operational needs.
8. Acts as a mandated abuse reporter.
9. May perform other duties as assigned to assure efficiency of operations.

Qualifications Required

Must be at least 18 years of age. High School GED preferred.

Experience working with balers preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills

1. Ability to communicate in a positive manner.

5. Ability to lift and move 40 lb. loads
6. Use of hand trucks and hydraulic lifters, forklift

Environmental Conditions

Warehouse production. Constant physical activity, lifting, moving and sorting large loads of materials all day long. May be exposed to dirt and dust.
