UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at 1 Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215. The role supports prescription processing, inventory management and customer service in a retail pharmacy setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM onsite. Requires Ohio license, 1+ year retail pharmacy experience, strong communication and math/computer skills. Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $29.00, with a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k) contribution.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio.
• 1+ years of recent retail or community Pharmacy Technician experience.
• 1+ years of face-to-face and telephone customer service experience.
• Must be onsite at 1 Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215, with 8-hour shifts 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and members at Nationwide location.
• Fill prescription orders and verify under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage inventory: order, receive, and store supplies and maintain records.
• Process wholesaler medication orders.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain a smooth workflow with the team.

Position Location: 1 Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members at the Nationwide location
• Prescription Processing: Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Inventory Management: Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies. Verify medication stock and enter data into the computer to maintain inventory records
• Medication Orders: Order, receive, and process wholesaler medication orders
• Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy is in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties related to the retail pharmacy
• Communication: Utilize strong professional verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and healthcare providers
• Team Collaboration: Work with the pharmacist and other team members to assist in pharmacy functions and maintain a smooth workflow

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio
• 1+ years of recent retail or community Pharmacy Technician experience
• 1+ years of experience providing face-to-face and telephone customer service
• Ability to work onsite at 1 Nationwide Plaza Columbus, OH 43215, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Must be 18 years of age OR older

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
