Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications, collect patient information and explain any insurance changes, and ensure orders are processed, dispensed, and delivered accurately.

The role also assists in billing and stays current with insurance guidelines. The position is PRN with a day shift, and Florida background screening applies.

Qualifications

• One year of pharmacy technician experience or completion of a technician internship (in lieu of experience)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes medications in a timely manner
• Collects patient information and explains any insurance changes
• Ensures orders are processed, dispensed and delivered accurately and promptly
• Assists in billing processes and maintains knowledge of insurance changes
