Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives seeks a Retail Pharmacy Technician to deliver safe, accurate pharmacy care in a fast-paced retail setting. You will work with licensed pharmacists to process prescriptions and support patient care with attention to detail and strong communication.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions and insurance claims, assisting with medication preparation, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional service at pickup.

Qualifications

  • Registered/licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of NE.
  • Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing after one year from registration/licensure date.

Responsibilities

  • Process new and refill prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and organizational regulations.
  • Assist pharmacists with preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications to promote safe and accurate patient care.
  • Process insurance claims, resolve billing issues, and communicate with insurance providers to support timely prescription fulfillment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients with prescription pick-up, answering general pharmacy questions, and operating the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain medication inventory, monitor expiration dates, and support quality assurance by helping identify potential medication or dispensing errors.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Retail Pharmacy Technician, you'll play an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate pharmacy care to our patients. Working alongside licensed pharmacists, you'll help ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.


Every day you will support pharmacy operations by processing prescriptions, assisting with medication preparation, managing insurance claims, and providing exceptional service to patients. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help ensure patients receive the medications they need safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • Registered/licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of NE (https://dhhs.ne.gov/licensure/pages/pharmacy-technician.aspx) required prior to start date

  • Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing is required after one year from the registration/licensure date


Where You'll Work

This is is a full time float position and would be available to work at any and all of the CHI Health Outpatient Pharmacies - Omaha locations: [CUMC Bergan, 132nd and Center, 161st and Maple, 42nd and L, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Florence, Immanuel, Lakeside, LaVista, Midlands, Immanuel Family Health Center] and also Council Bluffs Iowa locations: [West Broadway and Valley View].


Pay Range

$18.06 - $25.51 /hour
