Job summary

Banner Health in Scottsdale is seeking an Associate Director of Pharmacy Retail to lead the operational activities of Retail Pharmacy Services. You will oversee dispensing, drug information, and interdisciplinary care within Banner Family Pharmacy to support patient outcomes and access to care.

The role requires a Pharmacist with leadership experience, license in good standing, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

Requires degree in Pharmacy and licensure in state of practice within 90 days of hire.
Immunization certification and/or licensure within 6 months if state requires.
BLS certification required.
Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication for interfacing with staff, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

Act as Pharmacist in Charge for the Retail Pharmacy, coordinating daily activities and ensuring policy compliance.
Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness and intervene when necessary; document transactions.
Plan and maintain Pharmacy information systems, including data collection and documentation processes.
Provide leadership to retail pharmacy staff and develop goals and programs aligned with Banner Health’s strategic plan.
Schedule and supervise staff, manage hiring, promotions, transfers, and performance evaluations.
Improve efficiency and safety by implementing procedures and managing inventory and workflow.
Contribute to day-to-day duties of the Staff Pharmacist and oversee immunization administration as requested.
