Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
• Hospital experience or residency preferred.
• License in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
• Counsel patients on administration, interactions, side effects and storage.
• Dispenser and provide drug information; monitor therapy outcomes.
• Oversee pharmacy staff and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Utilize technology and electronic medical records; handle IV admixtures and unit-dose dispensing.
