Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Retail Parts Pro who combines strong automotive knowledge with exceptional customer service to support DIY customers in-store and over the phone.

You will assist with parts identification, battery and wiper services, and daily store operations, while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of automotive parts experience, access to a valid driver's license, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experience for DIY customers via in-store and phone interactions.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installations.
• Perform key holder duties including opening/closing tasks and safety compliance.
• Assist in store inventory processes (cycle counts, back stock, etc.).

Job DescriptionWhat is a Retail Parts Pro?Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role has expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. This role has the ability for advanced identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers. The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes.
