Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will quickly build and maintain customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing provided training to support sales offerings. The Team Lead will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The Retail Team Lead will demonstrate a passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered to our customers. Retail Team Lead (PT) will utilize Office Depot Inc.’s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers, to drive the sales of our total offerings, and properly assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction in every interaction.

Responsibilities

1. Print Sales and Services:
   • Support efficient operation of the Print function and drive store sales.
   • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within Print Services to ensure correct and timely completion of client orders.
   • Use communication tools to request assistance and coordinate services for customers.
2. Operational Efficiency:
   • Process merchandise accurately, adhering to procedures and visual standards.
   • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
   • Ensure compliance with policies and support loss prevention efforts.
   • Contribute to sales and profitability initiatives.
3. Client Engagement:
   • Enhance customer satisfaction through coaching and training.
   • Support community outreach to retain clients/customers.
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge.
4. External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty:
   • Ensure safety and security during management absence.
   • Perform opening/closing responsibilities, including activating/deactivating alarms.
   • Assist in cash handling and store audits as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience; sales or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with POS systems a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adaptability and professionalism.
• Passion for the brand and products.
