Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You will engage with customers friendly and knowledgeably, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

You will actively connect with customers, address their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions, and help create a vibrant sales culture. Training in technology and print products/services will prepare you to assist customers effectively, applying sales principles to foster growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:
   • Engage proactively with customers to support a positive experience.
   • Promote sales through understanding of selling programs and awareness of promotions.
   • Stay informed about advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   • Maintain store and print department appearance according to guidelines.
   • Ensure proper signage, merchandise presentation, and organized freight processes.
   • Manage inventory levels and organization.
3. Print and Tech Knowledge:
   • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training, including certifications if needed.
4. Sales Techniques:
   • Follow company policies and support loss prevention.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory.
