Job summary

Nouria Energy Services, Inc. in Scarborough, ME, is hiring a Sales Associate to ensure smooth station operations during shifts and deliver friendly, professional service to customers.

You will handle cash, maintain store cleanliness, promote specials, and support the Safety and Health program while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Read, understand, and write in English at an eighth-grade level.
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations for making change and completing shift reports.
• Verify identification before selling tobacco and/or alcohol as required by regulation.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry beverage cartons and containers using proper lifting techniques.
• Remain calm and act according to policies and procedures in emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes, cleaning products, and varying temperature environments.
• Work in cool, outside, and indoor conditions as needed.
• Complete general housekeeping duties as required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.

• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift per company guidelines.

• Promote specials and assume full responsibility for the execution of the customer service program at the site level.
• Maintain safety and security of the store, enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations, and document accidents or incidents.
• Manage cleanliness of the customer environment inside and around the perimeter of the store.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently, supporting the implementation of the Safety and Health program.
• Report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses promptly.
• Complete new employee safety orientation procedures.
