Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a store teammate in Sioux Falls to help create an exceptional shopping experience for customers by greeting athletes, understanding their needs, and maintaining organized backrooms and displays.

You’ll help unload trucks, process freight and transfers, and uphold brand standards while complying with safety and loss prevention policies. This role emphasizes teamwork, accessibility of inventory, and a welcoming store environment for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers and proactively understand their needs to enhance shopping experience.
• Ensure merchandise and products are received and processed per programs; keep backroom organized and accessible.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards.
• Assist with unloading trucks, processing freight, transfers, RTVs, claims, and freight processing.
• Fulfilling the company-defined customer experience by following service level standards.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store and perform tasks as assigned by management.

OVERVIEW

Our store teammates are passionate about creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness to help, high brand and execution standards, ability to prioritize and efficient execution of operational processes.

• Greet everyone (teammates and customers) and proactively approach athletes to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Ensure that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures; the backroom is organized and maintained so that merchandise is easily accessible in partnership with the Freight Flow/Operations Lead.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards.
• Assist with the unloading of trucks, processing of freight, execution of transfers, RTVS, claims, freight processing, etc.
• Fulfill the company-defined customer experience by completing all processes according to our service level standards.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
