Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Farragut, TN is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering engaging customer experiences. The role focuses on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations to meet company standards.

You will assist with open/close procedures, protect assets, stockroom upkeep, and execute corporate directives while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs, including frozen/refrigerated.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise plans are maintained.
