Job summary

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate apparel merchandiser for a New Store Opening in Augusta, ME. The role involves hands-on styling, displaying, and presenting fashion to reflect the brand, with project-based hours and a freelance arrangement.

You will work in stores to create polished, trend-forward shopping experiences, manage planograms, and report outcomes using the Winston App, supported by a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail apparel merchandising or related field preferred.
• Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, and styling).
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential.
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel displays.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A portfolio of work is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up apparel displays, update fixture signage, and clean remodeled areas.
• Participate in stockroom management with strong organizational skills.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales.
• Communicate merchandising needs with team members and store management.
• Work independently and as part of a team across different store settings.
• Manage monthly scheduling to complete store visits and merchandising deliverables by deadlines.
• Submit store visit reports with before/after photos and feedback using the Winston App.

Job Overview

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an apparel merchandiser, you'll ensure clothing is styled, organized, and presented to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers. Working hands-on in stores, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up apparel displays, updating fixture signage, and cleaning departments in areas that have been remodeled
• Participates in stockroom management responsibilities and requires strong organizational skills
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
  • IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
  • Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to liftup to 25 pounds and stand for theentire shift
• Schedule: 8-hour shift - Monday-Friday (no weekends)
