Job summary

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As a Retail Merchandising Specialist, you will style mannequins, organize displays, and ensure presentation reflects brand identity across Peoria, IL and East Peoria, IL.

This independent contractor role offers flexible hours, a pay rate of $23-$24 per hour, and the chance to work hands-on in multiple store settings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in apparel merchandising or a related field.
• Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, and styling).
• A portfolio of work is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential.
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel displays.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company standards.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings.
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability.
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device.
• Smartphones are required for reporting and must meet device requirements (iOS 11+ or newer; Android 2020+).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift.

Job Overview

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an apparel merchandiser, you'll ensure clothing is styled, organized, and presented to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers. Working hands-on in stores, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company standards
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
